Augustus the Hungry Kitten: (On finding a best friend)

"I haf made a friend! Ze humanz call it 'a schmoosht up food wrappah rolled into a ball'...but I call him Daniel! He is yellow and kind and he schmells of HAMBURGAHS!!! I said, 'Daniel! Let us be ze best of friends and not call each uzzah mean names.' And Daniel agreed. Ha HA! I am zo happy!

Ve wrestle for hours and he lets me bat him about ze house! I haf to run fast to catch him...he is SO quick! And zen I grab him and roll onto my back and hold him in ze air ovah my belly, and I kick, kick, KICK him vis my back feet! He does not mind zis! And ve are having so much good fun! Sometimez he hides around ze corner and zen I find him and ve laf and laf!!!

Ven I am tired and vant to rest, I lay down and Daniel does not run avay, but he stays zer vis me and rests too. I vish zat efryvone could haf a friend like Daniel who vill play vis dem...and rest vis dem...and nevah, EVAH call zem, 'schtinky poo bottom.'"
